This livingwall installation for The Nectar Lounge in Bristol was an exciting experiment in constructing a carbon-neutral livingwall. Alex and a small group of helpers and friends of the cafe helped to assemble the greenwall modules, and then plant native succulents and alpines into the vertical garden pocket planter system.
The species selected for this livingwall were largely to do with combating poor air quality on Gloucester Road, in Bristol, whilst also providing year-round interest and being good for pollinators. The irrigation system is fed into the back of the modules, and any run-off is diverted into some planters around the front terrace of the cafe. More project details coming soon.
